| The thing with Rondo is that he can only be a drive and dish player, with Gasol and Bynum clogging up the middle, he'll have to stay on the outside....kinda like what happened to Nash in the Conference Finals and D-Will in the Semi-Finals.
And Rondo got off easy in the East, he actually has defense now with Fisher guarding him, and if need be Kobe can take him too.
I hope that this series doesn't get too out of hand, with all the acting by the Celtics....

| i think rondo will give them more trouble then you think sun. they played twice in the reg season and split 1-1 each game won by a single point.
according to espn, rondo was guarded mostly by kobe in one game and spit this line: 21pts, 12 asts, 5 rebs, 2 stls the other game kobe didnt play and rondo produced this line: 14pts, 11 asts, 5 rebs, 4 stls
gasol and bynum did nothing to stop rondo and arguably its better not to have kobe on rondo evidenced by the two games. as for nash, he had 13, 15, 15, 8, 11, 9 asts for each game of the series and avg. ~20pts on high% and low TO. so i think nash was pretty much getting where he wanted and what he needed.
rondo will get his, kobe will get his. im more intersted to see how garnett handles gasol, and if pierce can break out of his mini slump with artest on his back.

| It did turn out to be a split in the season, but Kobe didn't play at all in the second game, and if I recall he in fact hit the game winning basket in Game 1.
Rondo might play well offensively, he may not. One thing for sure is that Rondo has no defense whatsoever, and mind that Derek Fisher has been productive offensively in the playoffs.
And about the Nash topic, he did average those numbers, but that's a given as Nash is an all-around offensive monster. If you do happen to replay the film instead of the numbers, you will see that he didn't get the plays he wanted, instead had to work rigorously for them. I know many instances where he was forced to take the jumper as no one was open and made them with a hand and Gasol/Bynum/Odom guarding him.

| You know a sport needs some competition when more than half the championships have been won by 2 teams. (33 of 64 by Lakers or Celtics). That's no fun to watch every year same team in and out its kind of pointless to be supporting any other real team since there not in the same league anyways..(like my raptors nothing seems to work for them). Which is exactly the reason i hate baseball as well..Stupid divisions puts the jays agaist the yankees, sox and rays..
But congrats anyways..

| Congrats on the riots!! Damn soccer holigans are a bad influence on American sports. that was a tough game.
I agree hk, but it's that way no matter what sport you're talking about. Even college is getting that way. Good thing USC finally got busted and the league actually did something about it. There's competition, but when you have all the talent go to one place, it gets one sided. And when you have a chance to go play for someone like Jackson who wouldn't pass that up.
ps I'm not a celtics fan, just hoping Doc could get a ring, when jackson has 13 now, but only 10 fingers. they better be handin out cock rings soon. lol

| Jackson has 11 rings...6 with the Bulls and 5 with the Lakers.
I don't know much about Baseball, but Basketball doesn't usually revolve around 2 teams, a few years ago the Lakers and the Celtics never had a chance of winning the championship. Then they each acquired 1-3 key players to become contenders once again.

| I agree with you a lil hk, prob with baseball is no cap and certain owners with lots of money and shit owners (like pittsburgh) that spend no money.....pittsburgh makes like 3rd most or 6th most in profits, yet has lowest payroll in majors, and my dad doesnt know why i wont spend money to see em. | |

| Does anyone have any opinion on Tom Hicks (owner of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars) or George Gillett (past owner of Montreal Canadiens).
What are they perceived like in the states?
