- i agree that ronaldo is a genius scorer. and excellent talent. but NOT the best in the world. the best in the world are complete players. players that score yes, but also pass, space the field, and play defense.
for amazing trick dribbling, there are loads of other players like ronaldinho who can do it better, and in the flow of the game. =)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huY8rOR9bGE crazy, check out the clip at the 1:50 mark. he bounces it off the crossbar 4X in a row from 30yards out. complete control.... amazing. I agree with this; partially. This season, has not been his best. It has been pretty average. But, he is slowly re-discovering form. Almost all of the generations of the best players in the world have been attacking, none have been defensive. If you ask me, Vidic is right up there with the best. He has scored plenty of times, match-winning goals and defended at times when we would have lost without him. Ronaldo is on his way up. You'll see!

and I appreciate the spirited debate, if I could only see a live game, sports become so much better after you have seen them live......only thing is, did the championship get decided by a tie 0 - 0, i saw the score and they said that was it....how the hell does a sporting event ever end in tie when its for all the marbles?! I am not too sure i understood that... But let me explain the Champions League to you... The best teams in Europe are put in groups. In one group, the top two teams go through to the knockout stages. The teams are decided by stickin ya hand in the fish bowl Whoever comes out plays the next one. In the quarter and semi-finals, each team plays twice, once in their home ground and one in the rivals ground. The final is just one game in a neutral venue, in this case it is Rome. I cbb to explain away goals and aggregrate.. Ask Matty, he will know.

| hehe, the finals will never end as a tie. they will have overtime and then eventually a shoot out. just like hockey. however the shoot out only occurs in finals like games.
matty can explain it better, but for the CL tourney a two game match for each round. you play one game at home and one away. then the scores from both games are talleyed and the winner moves to the next round. thats the aggregate. you get more credit for points scored away, its kinda like a tiebreaker. now, in the second game if you were all squared up for the aggregate, even after overtime, it would go to shoot out.
the CL finals are played on a neutral site, so its only one game for all the marbles. and it will have a shoot out if needed.

| Why do I know the rules better than you guys lol Would you like to learn about the offside rule Thud? Maybe I could teach you about that and in exchange you can tell me how the hell the offiside / 2-blue-line thing works in ice hockey lol whenever I played an NHL game that was always the first option that was turned OFF The 0-0 you are talking about is the English League which is one division of 20 teams who play each other twice, home and away, resulting in 38 games over the course of a season. In the event of last weekend, Man Utd were in a mathematical position where they only needed a tie to claim the championship, because the 2nd placed team could not mathematically amass a higher number of points given the number of remaining games. It's identical to every league format in America, except at the end of the league the team that finished first actually finished first lol as opposed to you guys who have to have play-off and shit Simples | |

How can a cheat be considered to be the best player in the world?
It's like saying glitchers in R1 are the best players because they cheat.
Think about what you're saying Vish.
A cheat. That is the best in the world at what he does. MADNESS. He cheats. It defies logic! Yeah, he dives. For that he is an absolute cunt, but that does not negate the talent he has. Divers are not cheaters, it is a bit different. If it was such a great big f'ckin problem then the refs would give HIM the card.
I don't blame a player for gaining an advantage, i think it would be great if the ref gave him a couple of cards for diving. Ronaldo does piss me of, A LOT.
In him being a cock, doesent mean you do not look at his talent. Divers are not cheaters? Falling over under no contact to 'win' a free kick or a penalty for your team. No, that's not cheating. Spot on there mate ha ha If Ronaldo was so good he wouldn't have to dive to gain an advantage for his team. His natural talents would be enough 100% of the time. Which is not true. I have never seen Messi dive, or Kaka, I just see those players pull the defenders pants down (see Kaka at OT a couple of years ago, Messi in the Camp Nou last season, etc.). I would never endorse anyone who 'dives' or 'cheats' or 'gains advantages' through unsporting behaviour, whatever you want to call it, as the best in the world. Remember when he got Rooney sent off in Euro 2006? His own club team mate and Ronaldo told the ref to send him off. Some fuckin prick, that lad.

So many suspensions and injuries for Barca, it takes a bit of the shine off it...
