These are some of the most greatest game of hockey i've seen this year. Lots of contact, lots of passes definately great plays. Some of the goals are simply amazing.

But Ove is better than Crosby. In the longer run that is.

Hopefully Caps will be able to pull it off and send the Pengs packing.

Plus, Crosby is too attached to Malkin, they are like made for each other..haha.

as for home ice, neither team has won on home ice yet, the series has been great, its all guts in game 7.

Why 7 and not just 1 game?

You start up with 16 teams. 8 from each conference.

8 from Eastern Conference
8 from Western Conference

The 8 from the Eastern Conference play against each other. Basically
The #1 place takes on #8 place in the same conference.

It goes on like that, #2 takes #7, #3 takes #6 and #4 & #5 play each other.

Ex:
Boston (1) Vs Montreal ( Montreal lost the their sport 4-0 (So Boston won 4 games, which is how many you have to win to go forward to the next round,.

NJ(3) Vs Carolina (6) This went into 7 games. Carolina Won it 4-3.

This means Boston and Caroline go up against each other.

Now for the other bracket.

Washington(2) Vs NY Ranger(7). Also went into 7 games. Washington won 4 games to 3.

Pittsburgh(4) Vs Philadelphia (50). These series finished 4-2. Pitt winning.

Next up.

All the winners play against each other.

Boston Vs Carolina (Carolina leading 3-2)

Washington Vs Pitt (Series are tied 3-3).

Winner of these will go towards each other and play the winner of the other conference for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

4v5
3v6
2v7

winner advances, loser goes home. one bracket for each conference (western, eastern). the winners of each bracket meet in the finals. whoever has the better season record between the two final teams has home advantage.

so the winner of 1v8 plays the winner of 4v5, yes?
