Some good war movies:

Saving Private Ryan: The opening is just fantastic. The story itself is kinda blah, but the opening wants to make me tear up.

We Were Soldiers: Mel Gibson at his best.

Glory: One of Danzel Washington's best films.

On the war theme i liked Black Hawk Down and you have to go with Full metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now

I loved the Last Samurai. Got to agree with Thuder on Boondock Saints. Suicide Kings was really good with Christopher Walken and Jay Mohr. Agree with everyone who has mentioned Transformers. May have to go with 300 as the fav though. Really like Hitch with Will Smith and Kevin James as well.
