| Anyone an avid hunter around here besides me? What do you like to hunt and what do use for a gun?
If I'm the only hunter you all are lame.
I mostly hunt birds. Waterfowl such as ducks and geese, but also pheasants, qual, and dove. I use the most common shotgun on the market. Remmington 870 Express Magnum 12 gauge pump action. I also own a Mossberg 300 Win Mag rifle that could take down just about anything, except maybe an elephant, but there aren't any of those around here. It is quite the sniper rifle. There are stories of 1000yrd hits with it. Talk about reaching out and touching something.

| I have been hunting since I was 12...havent been able to since I left college, I use mostly a 30-06, put a hole the size of your fist in anything with the right bullets, and very accurate at a distance,, also like my 30-30 lever action, just like the lever, and also I hunt a lot of muzzleloader, the old kind, not the inline ones. I hunt deer, turkey bear, small game occasionally......use 12 gauge with 3 inch high brass mags for that (turkey I mean).....have lots and lots of guns with dad.....my fav 30-06 | |

| I like to shoot a 30-06 also, but don't have one. My cousin has one that has been on many hunting trips, that they call the noise maker, because it has never killed anything. It doesn't go on every many hunting trips anymore.
We hunt turkeys like pheasants here. Walk them to the end of the field and when they fly blast em'. Not your typical turkey hunt, but way more fun.

| I personally like hunting TimeSlingers. The squeal they give of when you leave a hole the size of a football in its head, brings me intense happiness | |

Sure, Vish, I distinctly remember hitting you with the butt of my gun the last time we played R1 together. Oh then I Tbagged you. Member? You even know what a 30-06 is? Thud, you guys are definately prepaired. Pheasant actually have picked up this year, but waterfowling is way easier. No walking, but still cold. Easier on the dogs also. Plus I know someone who has a boat blind and we cook breakfast at 5AM. I love it. I just my bros and dad were into it so I could share the fun with them. It a great pasttime.

Honestly, i've never even seen a gun. LOL. Love it arty! They have guns in Canada? I'll see if I can get a pick of my rifle on here for ya. I'll put a caption like " 1Hit Sniper anyone?" It's actually too big for what I want to hunt, but when you win it you take it. The only thing that sux is that the ammo for it is so expensive. For cheap ammo its $1/round and it has a 7 round clip although after 2 or 3 you shoulder hurts bad. That's why Thud carries a 30-06, ammo is way cheaper for that rifle.

Well the .30" is the size of bullet and it was made in 1906 and that's where the 06 comes from. If you were to covert the size to metric it is 7.62 x 63 mm. That might give you an idea of the size of the round. It aint a Pee shooter. My 300 win mag shoots the same size bullet, but the cartridge is another 4mm longer.(7.62 x 67 mm) Has a little more pop to it so to speak and it shoots "flatter".

I believe that's called 'prowling', not 'hunting'
