So im wondering why everyone is calling the wraith a noob gun and is the fags fav?
You dont think that the 40mm is a noob move? The 40mm will kill you instant now even giving you a chance to defend yourself. The marksmen has the orbs in which you dont have to even point, you just shoot it in the air and kill people effortlessly. The sniper rifle you can shoot someone on the other side of the map without them even seeing you.The bullseye you can tag people and shoot them without even aiming at them! Every gun on resistance is a noob gun in there own way, why pick on the wraith? I can know for a fact that i have the most expericence with the wraith and it does acquire skill and experience to do what i do, wraith users are really easy to kill un less your up close, so all you have to do is use the marksmen and any long range weapon. Or walk everywere so that your invisible on the radar, i know that majority of wraith users pay more attention to the radar then there actual surrounding when there headhunting.

Yes the wraith has a shield but you cant use it when your fire or even when your cranking it up, plus when you are getting shot you cant see if you have the shield on or off.

To be able to control the frontlines on resistance 2 you must have wraith users on the front line controlling the situation, no other gun can really do that unless your rolling with a clan that has alot of skilled players.

I hold The world record for most kills in one round on team deathmatch totaling 78 kills 18 deaths, i average 30 to 60 kills every game. I actually snipe people with the wraith by hitting people in the head killing them instantly within the first 10 rounds. I average only 10 to 20 rounds to take someone down which is almost unheard of.


If you are getting owned by the wraith pick it up and give them a taste of there own medicine. Wraith users don't cheat. Anybody can use the wraith, anybody....

yeah but thats the point some games like cc are ruined because everyone has a wraith its like the laark but worse because u don't have to go pick up another, it's just too powerful since the patch and has unbalanced the game, yeah 40's can be annoying but you have to find a secondary fire.

so where will it end will everyone either have to have a wraith or sniper rifle? because thats the way its going

don't like the wraith since the patch came out. the range is better than a carbine now.
in tdm the wraith is a normal weapon, but in CC it's annoying. everyone use it, because u have better chances to win. that's why i went back to TDM.
i hope they will change it back with the next patch, every noob can use this weapon now. even DerChrisi.

like u said, if u use the bullseye tag, ur a tagger noob. if u use 40's, ur a 40's noob. if u use beserks, ur a beserk noob. if u snipe somebody with a body shot, ur a body shot noob. and so one.............

Supposedly they didn't do any weapon modifications with the new patch, there was a post on myresistance.net. One of the guys form insomniac got on there and said they did nothing with weapons and don't plan to.


Your right about cc and the wraith, i played a cc game a week ago and everyone that was defending was using the wraith. That is cowardly shit.

Things that give the wraith a bad name

1) People hiding in dark corners with the wraith just waiting for people to walk by
2)People that travel with 4 or 5 other wraith players at a time making them impossible to beat
3)People who hide around corners and use the wraith when you turn the corner
4)People who hide and wait for you to turn your back then shoot you when your not looking
5)People who use the shield and are to scared to put it down and face the other player.
6)People who use it in core control to defend, same with skirmish when your trying to defend a beacon

The problem with the wraith is that it has to be used responsibly and its not happening, the noobs that suck at resistance 2 are ruining it for other players by doing what i described above.

I'm a wraith hater, but I must admit the few cc we played together you never camped at all with it. You were always on the attack, unlike most ppl

I dont care about it except cc when 4 guys in the base with it sitting, other team play zero offense, but i didnt buy the people the game so i dont care how they use it....second worst people who wait at corner with it winding or to jump up and use that fast glitch start thing where you jump and press l1 and r1 basically at same time......ill 40 their ass

wraith would be ok without that ****** shield. auger too. that was better in R1.

they really said that they did no weapon modifications? since the patch weapons like splicer,bellock or wraith much stronger and lots of players usin' it now.

i definately felt that the wind up time was shortened plus the effective range of the wraith was increased i know this because i have always used the carbine and i knew at what range i could beat the wraith (right at the edge of the carbines most effective range ie any furthur the carbine loses power)but since the patch i found i was getting killed even at that range. Before the patch i had no problems with the wraith whatsoever.

But with cc its more the fact that you can't run as fast so you're an easy target to get wraithed.

I used to love Core Control but now it sucks

i also felt the marksman was slightly more powerful since the patch

caribines the one for me but i don't know anymore everything seems to be different, i might have to find a new weapon
