KZ3 Beta

Whatcha think?


I personally think it is going to be awesome, you have one map to play, but its a pretty cool map.....I like the way you unlock things, focus on one "career" and you can build your guy up pretty quickly....Out of about 5 games I finished 1st 3 times, so clearly thats going to make me like it.....

- spawn points are kinda neat, not only does a tactian have to obtain them, but then you actually have to hold them, a small battle within a battle, but that make search and destroy a lil more difficult......starting farther away, though there are startegic spawn points relatively close.

- mortars were a cool addition, though I abused the hell outta them, I dropped mortars on enemy spawn frequently, bet that team hated my ass.

- faster aim and movement was nice as well, I think COD lpayers will like this a lil more now, its still a lil more difficult but better than kz2

- arty will love the new hand cannon, I do

- new kinda game, I played some game with chrisi that was 8 v 8 and the opposiing team was trying to blow the dam, which was pretty cool, with some cool cut scenes.

so Im already pumped, how about you guys?

Still trying to download the demo, the internet in our local area is at a standstill due to the bad storms downing telephone lines. Had it on for 8 hours trying to download but still only had about 150meg of the 800 the demo is. Did a speedtest earlier and was getting between 0.25- 0.5mbps !

Been like that last 2 days but just tried again and seems to be back to norm so downloading it right now.

how do u use mortars?

Brilliant, even managed to get in a few games with arty.

I found the mortars yesterday they are fantastic just throwing the beacon at their spawn point generally get 1-3 kills.

The medic can heal himself once per life which is good for a few sneaky kills or a melee & the medic has its own little flying bot that just shoots at anything within range.

this is gonna be addictive.

mortars are on a ped. in the spawn poiints that are captured by the tactians

im not gonna play the beta because i think it will make me hate the game

I don't like the new spawning, but I'm still figuring it out. I really enjoyed K2's spawning. It was almost unfair being a tact and having a couple OOS guys on your team.
THe new melee/ finishing moves are fucking sweet. They take too long though.
I can't wait to get this game and beat bitches down with arty again. And I agree with Thud on the new hand cannon. Love it.

Do we have the K3 beta to thank for the double XP points on Blops? Sorry, it doesn't matter how many points I can get I'll still play K3 over Blops once it comes out. Might even trade blops for K3??

yea, I have a feeling that Im going tto dedicate most of my time to playing kz3, but Im going to keep blops, one day, many years from now, ill get full presitege, maybe when lilmixthe3rd is around

Anyway, I did download it.. very cartoony, reminds me of R2, which I hated

First impressions.. Don't like the aim although it actually turns out you don't need it, don't like the character movement, the way it targets your objective is quite annoying

Will give it more time to grow as it seems the only way to get a clan game these days is to play KZ

Does anybody know how to get that jetpack thing thats in the trailers?

You pick up a jetpack by pressing circkle and then fly with L2 its pretty hard to use if you ask me and i totally recommend to not use it cause you get killed pretty easy with it

Noobs don't like games they aren't good at.

I just hope the regular game will be easier to get on too. I ve tried so many times to get on the beat and it is hit or miss at best. I would play more if I could get on the game, instead its always connecting or I get multiple different error codes. I do like the game play, I like to the other game types. It is a clan, team concept game. Can't wait for the 22 nd.

I think we've i.e. England have to wait for the 25th Feb till the game comes out

I struggled for a little while also. I was trying to play like I play on COD. Had to remember how to play Killzone. Plus the weapons are alot diff then K2. the damage isn't the same. Have to build your char. and get the good guns.

Well, I downloaded it, but I didn't try it yet. I have a hard time adjusting to new games, so I'm not sure if i'll like it, i didn't like Kz2, mostly because I sucked at it, haha, but i'll try it out sometime this week and see what happens...

Noobs don't like games they aren't good at

Here's a question, does the statistics we get on beta go over to the game when it comes out or do we start all over again. I just got the field medic and the engineer completed.
