| Soccer is a great sport, there is no doubt. I played soccer and football in high school at the same time. I was the keeper and the kicker for football team. I would go in at 7am Monday thru Friday and do my kicking drills for football team. Then leave 15 minutes early before soccer practice ended to do live kicking drills with the team. Football games were Friday nights and Soccer was on Saturdays. So I have a good appreciation of both sports. I did this for four years. I was place kicker, field goal kicker and punter.
SO my opinion is that FOOTBALL is the greatest sport ever, nothing in sports, I mean nothing in sports compares to the kickoff in a FOOTBALL game. Soccer can be phyisical, but nothing like FOOTBALL. I have had the pleasure for the past 5 years to stand on the field of the Baltimore Ravens as there Paramedic. Every game is packed, the fans are crazy. Last Saturday they had an open practice free to the public at the stadium. 48,000 people came to watch the team just practice. This doesn't happen in soccer. Ravens fans are the best in the NFL. I have respect for both sports but FOOTBALL NFL has my vote.
Sorry Thunder but the RAVENS look grrrrrrreat this year pal, there going to be tough to beat, oh hows your QB buddy, still benched. Just kidding, Steelers are our rivals. Just a little trash talk before the season.

| But how can u call your oval ball game football when you only kick it a few times the rest of the time you have the ball in your hands ??????
Now proper football (or soccer to US folk) is played with your feet, is a lot more skillful, and lots more action than the US oval ball game. The only reason you have cheerleaders is you need to be entertained between plays as you throw the ball once then wait 10mins while everyone gets in position to throw it again.
I'm not a fan of it but is rugby not like US football except its played by men without all that pads & helmet guff you lot wear???
